There are days when you have a sudden craving for a chocolate dessert! And you don’t want to spend hours in kitchen mixing batters and piping frostings . Basically, you need a dessert just NOW! That’s when this 1 minute Eggless Chocolate Mug Cake recipe will come handy!
Trust me, the cake turns out so moist and yummy that it satiates all kinds of chocolate cravings. The batter takes less than 5 minutes to prepare and only one bowl is used. It’s then poured in a microwave safe cup and baked on high power for 1 minute.

I love to add a dollop of vanilla ice-cream on the Mug Cake when I want to indulge. But on usual days, I either dust it with cocoa powder or caster sugar. Depending on how I am feeling that day :D.

The Eggless Chocolate Mug Cake is a dream dessert for chocolate lovers. Baking for the first time? You can’t go wrong with this!
- ¼ cups All purpose Flour
- 2 tablespoons Cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Baking powder
- ¼ cup + 1 tablespoon Milk
- 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 1 tablespoon Nutella or any chocolate spread or peanut butter
Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Add the oil and milk. Combine and mix the batter until smooth and chocolatey.
Pour the batter in a microwave safe mug.
Drop a spoonful of nutella in the centre of the mug.
Microwave at the highest power for 1 minute.
Let cool for few minutes before enjoying!
All microwave ovens have different heating. So a little adjustment might be needed.
The Eggless Chocolate Mug Cake is also a perfect dessert to bake for beginners. There are no rules to be followed and you don’t need to worry about the baking time. Even kids can easily make it with a little help from adults.
