Truffles are a no fuss dessert. You just need good quality dark chocolate, heavy cream and spirits. I am going to try with dark rum next time :D. Bailey’s Irish Cream liqueur is an irish whiskey and cream based liqueur. It tastes amazing in chocolate desserts. But Bailey’s is so good that you can enjoy it straight in a glass with some ice! It is smooth, creamy with a little bit of punch. Delightful!

These little bites of pure bliss are pretty simple to make and taste divine. This simplicity is all the more reason to try them :). These Bailey’s Chocolate Truffles can make for such a cute and heavenly Christmas gift for your loved ones.

After reading several recipes for truffles, I realized its not a very difficult dessert except the “rolling them in your hand” part 😛

It’s difficult to keep rolling these small boozy balls and resist the temptation to lick your hands every few seconds :D. I gave in to the temptation just thrice! Don’t worry i washed my hands before rolling the next truffle 😉

Notes

Be quick to role the truffles as the heat from our hands is enough to melt the ganache.

You can also dip a few of the truffles in melted chocolate. Just spear each truffle with a toothpick and dunk it into melted chocolate, covering it completely. Tap the toothpick to remove the excess chocolate. Place it on the parchment paper and let it set. Remove the toothpick and sprinkle with chopped nuts or drizzle with melted white chocolate.

These velvety smooth chocolate truffles are actually chocolate shells with a liquid luxurious Bailey’s center. Remember my telling you once that chocolate is the cheapest luxury, well it cannot get better than this little boozy chocolate explosion in your mouth !!
