Chocolate and orange are very refreshing together. The freshness and tang of oranges tastes amazing with the richness of chocolate. This Chocolate Orange Cupcake Recipe is perfect for a light dessert. The Eggless cupcakes are buttery with a delicate crumb. I have used orange zest and a Brazilian orange essence to flavor them. The cupcakes are refreshing on their own, but when paired with the chocolate buttercream, they make for a decadent dessert.
The Chocolate Orange Cupcake Recipe makes 12 regular sized cupcakes. The smooth fluffy chocolate buttercream is a perfect match for the moist orange cupcake. I have used crushed orange candy melts for the garnish. I love how these cupcakes turned out!
I plan to use that orange essence for a couple of my baking experiments soon. The combo of orange and cranberries tempts me next. But chocolate is my first love, hence this Chocolate Orange Cupcake Recipe will remain my favorite.
